About the owners:
We (Suzanne & Marty) met & fell in love while working at an Eco-resort on the island of St.John in the US Virgin Islands. After much deliberation about where to make our permanent home (and even more on where we shouldn’t) we decided on the mountains of North Carolina. We moved here after our island wedding in 2004 and have never regretted our decision.
Why we chose the area:
Mountain Vista Retreat is located in the same sub-division that we now live in and we love life here. Both of us have had previous experience in guest relations, with Marty owning a bed & breakfast, and Suzanne working in hotel registration. We have always desired to enable others to better enjoy the mountains of Western North Carolina, and owning vacation rental properties allows us to do just that.
The Unique Benefits of each Cottage:
Mountain Vista Retreat has million dollar views at an affordable price. The house sits on 4 private acres of beautiful mountaintop, yet is only nine miles away from the interstate, 20 minutes from Lake Lure, and a half hour from Asheville.
Saluda Vista offers a wonderful property on a small, private lake. The village of Saluda and community of Lake Hosea invite visitors to better appreciate the small towns that make up the mountains of western North Carolina.
Veranda Vista is so special because it is surrounded by land owned by the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy, which means it will never be developed. The hiking trails of the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge originate right across the road and run alongside the property.
